HypeAuditor alternatives: vetting creators or reaching them
Updated
The short version
The right HypeAuditor alternative depends on whether you need to vet creators or to reach them. HypeAuditor's website describes reports on creators' audiences, quality scores and fraud detection, alongside discovery, outreach, campaign management and competitor analysis. Nakodo does a different job: it finds creators who fit your brand, scores them with written reasons, emails them for you and introduces the ones who say yes. It doesn't analyse audiences or check for fake followers.
What HypeAuditor says it does
This page describes HypeAuditor from its own website as of October 2026, and links each statement to the page it came from. Features change, so check those pages before you decide. Nakodo isn't affiliated with HypeAuditor. Product names belong to their owners.
HypeAuditor's homepage describes a platform to "find, vet, and activate creators, analyze competitors, and leverage emerging trends". Its site describes:
- Reports
- Account reports with the creator's contact details, audience age, gender and country, quality scores from 1 to 100 for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, a machine-learning model to detect low-quality followers, and an estimated price per post.
- Discovery
- Search across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X and Twitch by keyword, audience and quality filters, lookalikes and brand mentions, with lists you can download as CSV.
- Outreach
- Bulk outreach with templates, an AI drafting assistant and follow-up sequences that stop when a creator replies.
- My Network
- A creator relationship record with stages, Gmail or Outlook sync, and a Campaign Fit Score that explains each creator's score in plain language.
- Campaigns
- Proposals, contracts, content approval and tracking, PayPal payments, and Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento for samples, codes and sales.
- Market analysis
- Competitor research on other brands' creator activity.

HypeAuditor and Nakodo, job by job
The HypeAuditor column comes from the linked pages on HypeAuditor's site. The Nakodo column is how Nakodo works today; the full method is on how Nakodo works.
| Job | HypeAuditor, from its site | Nakodo |
|---|---|---|
| Find creators | Search with filters you set, or lookalikes. | Writes a brief from your website and searches its keywords on each platform. No database to browse. |
| Check who follows a creator | Audience location, age and gender in each report. | No. Nakodo doesn't estimate audience demographics. |
| Check for fake followers | Fraud detection and quality scores. | No fake-follower check. Engagement is scored from the creator's own likes, comments and views. |
| Judge fit with your brand | A Campaign Fit Score with plain-language explanations. | A score from 0 to 100 against your brief, with written reasons. 55 or more counts as a fit. |
| Contact creators | Bulk outreach from email accounts you connect. | Emails on your behalf from its own address for each conversation, with your brand's name as the sender. Addresses are never shown to you. |
| Follow up | Sequences on a schedule you choose. | 2 by default (0 to 3), on days 4, 11 and 21, in the creator's working hours. |
| Contracts, payment, sales | Contracts, PayPal and store sales. | No. Nakodo stops at the introduction. |
| Research competitors | Market analysis. | No. |
| Platforms | Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X and Twitch. | YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. The Free plan searches Instagram and TikTok; YouTube is on the paid plans. |
Vetting a creator and reaching one are different jobs
HypeAuditor's reports set out a creator's audience by age, gender and country, and its authenticity. That answers a question you have once you have a name: is this account worth the fee? Nakodo answers an earlier one: which creators talk about what you sell, and will they talk to you?
Nakodo's score uses only what a creator publishes. Relevance compares their recent titles or captions with your brief's keywords. Audience fit checks followers against your range, plus language and country on YouTube and TikTok; Instagram shares neither, so both count as neutral. Engagement is likes and comments per view on YouTube and TikTok, and per follower on Instagram, using medians of posts at least 3 days old. Recency looks at how recently and how often they post, and on YouTube comment quality samples recent comments. The thresholds are fixed, so a score means the same in every campaign.
That score won't tell you a creator's audience is mostly in another country, or that half their followers were bought. If that's your worry, a report from an analytics tool is the right check, or you can do it by hand with our guide to spotting fake followers. Both kinds of fit score come with reasons: HypeAuditor's Campaign Fit Score explains itself in plain language, as Nakodo's does.
When HypeAuditor is the better choice
If you want any of these, HypeAuditor's site describes them and Nakodo doesn't do them:
- You already have a shortlist and want to check each creator's audience and authenticity before you spend.
- Who follows a creator, by age, gender or country, matters more to you than the topics they cover.
- You want to see which creators other brands in your market work with.
- You work with creators on X or Twitch.
- You need proposals, contracts, content approval, payments and sales tracking after the yes.
When Nakodo is the better choice
- You don't have a shortlist yet and want one built from your own website, with the keywords written for you to edit.
- The work you want off your plate is writing, sending, following up and answering routine questions, not analysis.
- You want a person to approve each first email by default. You can let first emails go out automatically, but each waits 60 minutes, during which you can edit or stop it.
- You'd rather not hold creators' addresses, and only meet the ones who said yes.
- You want to start on a free plan. The Free plan searches Instagram and TikTok; YouTube is on the paid plans, as the pricing page shows.
Other options
Each line comes from the company's own site as of October 2026.

- Upfluence describes an AI agent, Jaice, that finds creators, writes outreach and follows up, with affiliate tracking, store integrations and payments.
- CreatorIQ describes itself as "the operating system for creator-led growth", with brand safety, governance and compliance for brands and agencies.
- By hand. Our guide to vetting a creator and the Instagram engagement rate calculator cover the checks you can make yourself, and do you need a platform at all? covers when a tool earns its place.
