Upfluence alternatives for emailing creators
Updated
The short version
The right Upfluence alternative depends on how much of the programme you want in one tool. Upfluence's website describes an AI agent that finds creators, writes outreach and follows up, plus a marketplace, affiliate tracking, store integrations and payments. Nakodo does a narrower job: it finds creators who fit your brand, emails them for you from its own address, follows up and introduces the ones who say yes. It never shows you their addresses and stops at the introduction.
What Upfluence says it does
This page describes Upfluence from its own website as of October 2026, and links each statement to the page it came from. Features change, so check those pages before you decide. Nakodo isn't affiliated with Upfluence. Product names belong to their owners.
Upfluence's homepage describes a platform for affiliate programmes, creator management, user-generated content and brand ambassadors, run with an AI agent it calls Jaice. Its site describes:
- Search across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Pinterest and X, by filters or by describing your brief to Jaice. You can also paste your brand's URL for a shortlist, or find creators among your store's customers.
- A marketplace where you post a campaign brief and creators apply, plus sign-up pages for your own site.
- Outreach: Jaice writes outreach in your voice and follows up automatically, with Gmail or Outlook connected.
- Relationship management with a history, status and next step for every creator, and contract and email templates.
- Stores and codes: promo codes for Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce or Amazon, and product seeding that creates orders in your store.
- Sales and payments: revenue, clicks, conversions and order values per creator, and payments in any currency with tax forms collected.
Upfluence's pricing page says its pricing is modular and custom-quoted.
Upfluence and Nakodo, job by job
The Upfluence column comes from the linked pages on Upfluence's site. The Nakodo column is how Nakodo works today; the full method is on how Nakodo works.
| Job | Upfluence, from its site | Nakodo |
|---|---|---|
| Find creators | Filters, a brief described to Jaice, or your brand's URL. | Writes a brief from your website and searches its keywords on each platform. |
| Creators who come to you | A marketplace where creators apply to your brief. | No. Nakodo only writes to creators; they can't apply through it. |
| Write and send outreach | Jaice writes outreach in your voice, with Gmail or Outlook connected. | Writes each first email for one creator and sends it from its own address, with your brand's name as the sender. |
| Follow up | Jaice follows up automatically. | 2 by default (0 to 3), on days 4, 11 and 21, in the creator's working hours. |
| Manage relationships | History, status and next step for every creator. | No. Nakodo steps out after the introduction. |
| Stores, codes and seeding | Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce and Amazon. | No store integration. |
| Pay creators | Payments in any currency, with tax forms collected. | No. You agree terms and pay the creator directly. |
| Track sales | Revenue and conversions per creator. | No. Your own codes and links do that. |
| Platforms | Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Pinterest and X. | YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. The Free plan searches Instagram and TikTok; YouTube is on the paid plans. |
Both automate outreach. Here is what differs
Upfluence and Nakodo both describe software that writes to creators and follows up for you, and both can start from your website: Upfluence's search page offers a shortlist from your brand's URL, and Nakodo writes its brief from your site. The differences are in the details of sending.
- Whose address sends it
- Upfluence's site describes connecting Gmail or Outlook. Nakodo sends from an address of its own for each conversation, on its sending domain, with your brand's name as the sender, so replies come back to Nakodo and are matched to the right creator.
- How much runs without you
- Upfluence's Jaice page describes Jaice sourcing creators, sending invitations and following up while your team is offline, and flagging anything unusual for review. Nakodo waits for your approval on each first email by default. If you let first emails go out automatically, each still waits 60 minutes, during which you can edit or stop it.
- The creator's address
- Upfluence's automation page lists "finding contact details" among the admin to automate, and says "Upfluence automates the admin". Nakodo never shows you the address; you get it through the introduction when a creator says yes.
Our post on automated creator outreach sets out which parts of this we think should stay with a person, whichever tool you use.
When Upfluence is the better choice
If you want any of these, Upfluence's site describes them and Nakodo doesn't do them:
- Creators coming to you as well, through a marketplace or a sign-up page on your site.
- Affiliate or ambassador programmes, with codes, commissions, tax forms and payouts handled in one place.
- Promo codes for several store platforms, including Amazon, and sales tracked per creator.
- Searching beyond YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, for example Twitch or Pinterest.
- Outreach connected to your own Gmail or Outlook.
When Nakodo is the better choice
- Your hard part is starting conversations with creators who fit, and you'll agree terms, pay and track results yourself.
- You want every creator scored from 0 to 100 against your brief with written reasons, on fixed thresholds that mean the same in every campaign.
- You'd rather not hold creators' addresses, or send outreach from your own domain.
- You want a person to approve first emails by default, and follow-ups on a fixed rhythm that pause for out-of-office replies.
- You want limits on how often a creator hears from brands: one open conversation per creator across all of Nakodo, 14 days between two brands, and 180 days before a brand they declined can write through Nakodo again.
- You want to start on a free plan. The Free plan searches Instagram and TikTok; YouTube is on the paid plans, as the pricing page shows.
If you sell on Amazon, our page for Amazon sellers covers Amazon's own rules on creators and reviews, which apply whichever tool you use.
Other options
Each line comes from the company's own site as of October 2026.

- GRIN describes a platform that connects creator discovery, programmes, deals, payments, content and measurement, operated with its AI agent, Gia.
- Aspire describes an all-in-one creator marketing platform, from first search to final report, with a marketplace that brings creators to you.
- By hand. For the first rounds, a spreadsheet and your own inbox work. Our outreach email and DM templates give you the words, and do you need a platform at all? covers when a tool earns its place.
