Modash alternatives: find creators and have them emailed for you
Updated
The short version
The right Modash alternative depends on the job. Modash's website describes a Shopify-first platform to find creators, manage partnerships, track performance and pay creators, with the emails creators list publicly shown to you. If you want creators who fit your brand found and emailed for you, without handling their addresses, Nakodo does that one job and stops at the introduction. For another suite, compare Upfluence, HypeAuditor and GRIN by the jobs you need.
What Modash says it does
This page describes Modash from its own website as of October 2026, and links each statement to the page it came from. Features change, so check those pages before you decide. Nakodo isn't affiliated with Modash. Product names belong to their owners.
Modash's homepage calls it "Shopify-first" and says it is built "to find creators, manage partnerships, track performance, and pay creators from one place". Its site describes these parts:
- Discover
- Search across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube in your own words or with filters, with followers' age, gender and location, lookalikes, and the brands a creator has worked with.
- An inbox that syncs with Gmail or Outlook, with bulk email and sequences that stop when a creator replies.
- Manage
- A shared record of every creator with statuses, notes and conversation history.
- Track
- Automatic collection of creators' posts, and sales attributed through Shopify codes and links.
- Pay
- Payments to creators in their local currency, with invoices collected for you.
- Shopify
- An integration for discount codes, product gifts ordered through one link, and affiliate commissions.
Modash publishes its prices on its pricing page.
Modash and Nakodo, job by job
The Modash column comes from the linked pages on Modash's site. The Nakodo column is how Nakodo works today; the full method is on how Nakodo works.
| Job | Modash, from its site | Nakodo |
|---|---|---|
| Find creators | You search a database of public profiles with AI search, filters and lookalikes. | Writes a brief from your website and searches its keywords on each platform. No database to browse. |
| Judge fit | Audience data and authenticity checks. | Scores each creator from 0 to 100 with written reasons. No audience demographics. |
| See email addresses | Shows the email a creator lists publicly. Lists export to CSV. | No. You get an address only through the introduction, when a creator says yes. |
| Contact creators | From your own Gmail or Outlook, one at a time or in bulk. | Emails on your behalf from its own address for each conversation, with your brand's name as the sender. You approve first emails by default. |
| Follow up | Sequences that stop when a creator replies. | 2 by default (0 to 3), on days 4, 11 and 21, in the creator's working hours. |
| Manage relationships | A shared creator record with statuses, notes and history. | No. Nakodo steps out after the introduction. |
| Codes, gifting and store | Shopify integration for codes, gifts and affiliate commissions. | No. Nakodo has no store integration. |
| Pay creators | Payments in creators' local currencies. | No. You agree terms and pay the creator directly. |
| Track posts and sales | Automatic tracking of posts and Shopify sales. | No. Your own codes and links do that. |
| Platforms | Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. | YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. The Free plan searches Instagram and TikTok; YouTube is on the paid plans. |
The main difference: who holds the email address
Both start from addresses creators chose to publish. Modash's discovery page says it only shows emails creators have intentionally listed in their bios, and doesn't access emails behind logins, paywalls or CAPTCHAs. Nakodo also reads only what creators publish for business. What differs is what happens next.
With Modash, the address comes to you. You write from your own inbox and the conversation sits in Modash's creator record with your notes. That suits a team running creator partnerships as a standing channel, under its own name from the first email.
With Nakodo, the address stays with Nakodo until the creator agrees to talk. Each first email says where Nakodo found the address, such as "in your Instagram bio". If the creator says yes, Nakodo sends one introduction in the same thread with you in Cc, then steps out. Opted-out and bounced addresses are never emailed through Nakodo again, and a creator who declined you isn't contacted on your behalf for 180 days.
The trade-off is real. Nakodo gives you less: no list of addresses and nothing to export. In return you never hold contact details for creators who didn't want to hear from you, and sending, follow-ups and opt-outs are Nakodo's job.
When Modash is the better choice
If you want any of these, Modash's site describes them and Nakodo doesn't do them:
- You want to browse and filter creators yourself, by audience age, gender or location, or by lookalikes of a creator who worked well.
- You want creators' published addresses in your own hands, and to write from your own inbox.
- You sell on Shopify and want discount codes, gifting and affiliate commissions next to your creator list.
- You need to pay creators, collect invoices, and track posts and sales once a deal is agreed.
- Several people on your team work with the same creators and need one shared record.
When Nakodo is the better choice
- You'd rather describe your brand once than build searches. Nakodo reads your homepage and up to 5 key pages and writes the brief for you to edit.
- You want each creator scored against that brief with written reasons. Creators scoring 55 or more count as a fit, and a score means the same thing in every campaign.
- You want the emailing done for you: sent in the creator's working hours, followed up on a fixed rhythm, paused for out-of-office replies and stopped when they answer.
- You'd rather not handle creators' addresses at all, and only meet the ones who said yes.
- Your hard part is starting conversations, and you'll handle the deal, payment and tracking yourself. Our page for Shopify stores covers the codes and reports you'd use alongside Nakodo.
What each Nakodo plan includes is on the pricing page.
Other options
Each line comes from the company's own site as of October 2026.
- Upfluence describes an AI agent, Jaice, that finds creators, writes outreach and follows up, with affiliate tracking, store integrations and creator payments in the same platform.
- HypeAuditor describes reports on creators' audiences, with quality scores and fraud detection, alongside discovery, outreach and campaign management.
- GRIN describes a platform that connects creator discovery, programmes, deals, payments, content and measurement, operated with its AI agent, Gia.
- By hand. A spreadsheet and your own inbox go a long way for the first rounds. Our guides to finding creators on Instagram and TikTok show the method, and do you need a platform at all? covers when a tool earns its place.

Buying creator email lists
Our case against buying a list of creators' emails: where the addresses come from, why they go stale, what they do to your deliverability, and the slower way that works.
How Nakodo works
The method in full: how the brief is written, how YouTube, Instagram and TikTok are searched, the parts of the fit score and their weights, where business emails come from, how outreach is sent, and what is never collected.
